Scyther was my favorite as a kid and of course Scizor when it came out XD

He was used to train pokemon for illegal buying/trading and in use of illegal ring fighting which he as a part of in order to gain more customers for their business.

When they were busted, he escaped knowing they'd treat him like a monster. In reality, he lost his will to fight and live. He wanders avoiding people and pokemon alike
