Ryoto clutched his icy orb tighter while his ears perked. as much as he hoped to never hear it again, he knew that voice, and it still filled him with unbridled rage.

He knew it was him when he saw him, and Ryoto immediately grabbed the goat demon, rather harshly at that, digging his nails into the other’s bandaged arm.

“Ow!”

The goat demon yelped with pain, but completely froze up when he looked at the dragon demon grabbing ahold of him.

“You!”

Ryoto hissed, clutching the goat demon harder when the other man began to panic, frantically trying to pull his arm away from Ryoto’s grip. “I killed you once, and I’ll do it again if I have to!”

Ryoto’s voice raised to a shout, not caring at all about the tears that had sprung to the other man’s eyes, nor swayed by the way the goat demon whimpered with pain. “This time I’ll make sure you suffer even more.”

The goat gave another sharp yank, only then did Ryoto notice the ichor that was steadily dripping faster and faster from the other’s bandaged arm, as the pool of ichor coupled with the yank made the goat’s arm slip out of Ryoto’s grip. enabling the smaller demon to turn and run, the loud slap of his hooves against the tiled floor echoing throughout the hallway.

The icy dragon growled and started after him, hissing when he saw the man he was after dash around and behind a different demon, hiding behind him.

“Kuri...?”

The confused demon mumbled the name in a questioning tone, looking back at the goat, protectiveness leaking into his voice as he watched how the other man shivered. “what’s going on, Chestnut?”

the third demon is supposed to be Lucious, but could also be like Fenir, someone protecting the residents of the hotel

Didn't use Chestnut's name until the end because Ryoto didn't know his demon name yet, Chestnut would have called Ryoto his human name as well until they become aware of the other's demon name
Since they're what other people know them as and it's not like they're gonna talk to each other it's way easier to just use the demon names, instead of human names and explaining who they mean to everyone
