Pirouette is so overwhelmed during the whole thing, Callisto has to regularly give him a dose of healing magic to help with the overwhelming and constant headaches, and is how Callisto finds out Pirouette is pregnant fairly early, she could sense Pirouette's body starting to go a bit crazy before he would even register as pregnant, by the time Callisto senses it Pirouette would not come up pregnant on a test or anything, she just felt where his body was starting to go to start it, and because she knows the signs, and it panicked her

Poor Pirouette is just in constant pain during the resistance bit because of his emotion magic, and then Valerius tries a whole fiasco to win him back, publicly proposing and all, which freaks Pirouette out, and then then Pirouette's parents show up and throw a fit, and it's even worse, Pirouette can only handle so much, he retreats and he can't even really ask Callisto for help, words won't come, he just wants to be in covers and never come out, he barely talks, even Muriel talks more than him, and all his partners barely can get him to speak, but he assures all of them that he's fine with a strained smile
