Theo perked up when he noticed familiar raven black hair slip down an alleyway.

“Jeri-!”

Theo started, straightening up in his seat before looking at his guests and offering them a small smile. “Sorry, everyone,” the prince sighed, “I have...something to take care of...”

Cinnamon bun laughed and waved his hand.

“Go on! go take care of your “personal” issues, prince!” the Flame Kingdom ambassador said, giving the other kingdom ambassadors a look when one of them moved to say something to counter that statement.

“I’m so sorry, everyone!” Theo insisted, pulling a fistful of coins from his pocket and dropping them on the table. “Have whatever you want! sorry!” with that Theo was up and out the door of the tavern, quickly looking around for the vampiric man he had seen.

“Jericho!” Theo hissed, rushing down the night darkened alleyway, but froze when he heard a soft giggling of a woman, and he puffed out a breath and swallowed hard when he saw the man he was looking for, currently caressing a candy woman Theo hadn’t seen before. Theo blushed when Jericho nuzzled the woman’s neck and slipped his hands down her back, inciting more giggling.

“I guess I can talk to him later...” Theo breathed, backing up and away from the slightly obscene display, but he had only managed a few steps before he heard the start of a shriek, one that was quickly cut off and replaced with a wet thud.

The prince of the Candy Kingdom quickly rounded the corner again. “what’s wron-!!” Theo started, but near slipped over himself when he came face to face with the gruesome scene before him.

“Theodore! how nice of you to join me for a midnight snack!”

Jericho sung as he dropped the now decapitated woman who was in his arms, the body thudding to the floor and leaving a streak of crimson against the pavement. “Now, now! don’t look so upset! I just started; the best bits are still up for grabs!”

“Wh-wh-wha-” Theo covered his mouth and nose, trying to prevent himself from gagging. “Jeri, what did you do?” Theo whimpered out shakily but managed to back up when Jericho took a step towards him. “Stay back!”

“Whoa, calm down,” Jericho sniggered, his laugh sounding sick and twisted to the candy prince’s ears. “Same thing I do all the time, having a snack.” Jericho licked some of the gore smearing his lips, then pulled the ribbon from his hair and dabbing his lips with it before returning it to its usual place.

Theo swallowed down his disgust as much as he could, his blood running cold. “Monster...” Theo breathed. “you’re a monster! banana guards!”
