Zhongli hummed gently under his breath. he put his mug of tea down on a corner table as he heard the quiet shift and yawn of his husband returning to the land of the waking.

Zhongli moved away from where he had placed his tea, as it was only a matter of time before Venti followed him out onto the balcony, as he had left the door slightly ajar to let his husband know where he had gone, and Archons knew how wound up Venti could be in the morning.

“Good morning, handsome~”

Venti’s purred voice reached Zhongli’s ears, light as the soft early morning wind. Zhongli leaned forward on the railing instead of turning to face his husband, letting Venti curl his face into his back, the smaller man grumbling happily, and burying his face and both his hands into his husband’s long loose hair.

“what are you doing?” Zhongli laughed as Venti just kept combing his hands through his hair, twisting the brunette and golden strands around his fingers. “so pretty~” Venti simply responded, letting Zhongli turn towards him.

Zhongli’s hands came up against Venti’s chest, twirling his husband’s own hair between his tattooed fingertips before resting his palms on Venti’s skin. “I asked what you were doing, darling.”

Venti stuck his tongue out at that. “just admiring my gorgeous husband, of course!” the social media star replied airily, tugging lightly on one of Zhongli’s golden curls. “Archons’ know when you are going to let me see you with your hair a mess again.”
