Personality:
Astoria is very much 100% the daughter of Powerglide. She’s brash, she’s confident, she’s loud, she’s demanding, and she’s always go-go-going, to the point where in contrast to Powerglide’s “And a-waaay we go” she often says “It’s time to go-go-go!” or some variant.

Yep, definitely the daughter of Powerglide… just without the filter he’s gained through age and experience. Astoria can be incredibly rude, bossy, insensitive, and impatient. She likes it when things are done her way, and she’s the type to usually say “okay but my idea’s better so we’ll do that”. She’s pretty reckless and some of her schemes for adventure ends up being risky or dangerous, sometimes even purposely to combat her tendency to get bored easily. She has the tendency to take short-cuts; if it’s for fixing a problem, to get ahead, or in having fun, she’ll take the opportunity without much thought of the long-term consequences. This also leads to her being pretty defiant especially when it’s to go off and do things the way she wants/feels.

For all of her faults, though, Astoria is still a good kid at heart. She will not stand for injustice done to others, she’s fiercely loyal, she’s honest (she’s a troublemaker, but she’ll tell the truth when she’s caught), she’s direct and unafraid to speak her mind, she’s imaginative, and she’s practical.

History:
Powerglide was still heartbroken to have lost the “love of his life” after falling victim to the big issue with cross-species romance such as theirs: Different life spans and diseases.

With other ‘bots ending up with offspring of their own, be it through partners or other means and a few new youngsters arriving anyway he felt weighed down by the lack of anyone he considered ‘close’.

In comes his childhood friend Moonracer to the rescue.

Even if they had no strong bond beyond friends she could see just how much the loss of this human had hurt him and wished to help him in anyway possible so she agreed to help him start the family unit he pined for.

After a few attempts a trip to Ratchet showed a newspark had kindled and was attached to Powerglides Spark. The duo were ecstatic and set about gleefully preparing for their new life and everyone around them were happy to see such a positive change.

Then one morning Arcee stepped in something wet.
It was Moonracer, her head bludgeoned in and long since dead with DeceptiLord’s name signed to it.

The news, no matter how delicately they did their best to put it, was absolutely crushing and Powerglide was worse than ever.

No matter what any bot tried, the only thing that seemed to remotely get him back on track was when Astoria arrived and he promised to pour all his care and love into the child.

Notes/Extra:
• Inherited a “baby face” off Moonracer and looks younger than she is.
• Noticed Quasar’s ‘kiddie crush’ on Powerglide and thinks it’s weird.
• When she was small she’d ride around atop Powerglide’s head.
• Tends to wiggle her rear before she pounces. Hides it better now she’s older but it’s there.
• She’s not the only one being raised by one parent. She’s not 100% sure why it’s such a fuss or why Powerglide is so sad over it. He’s the coolest parent ever so why worry?.
• Is technically “Astoria Junior” but no one ever adds the Jr bit.
