This is a piece I had originally started because of a song I heard. Then it turned into something more.

Connell sat upon the snowy ground, the snow crunching under her. The moon was bright; lighting the sky in a beautiful glow. She looked down at her hands as the clinged to her chest. Her heart was faint and silent, slowing more and more. Lately the lonliness had been getting to her, she longed for a companion. As this feeling grew, her longing turned into something more; something deeper. She raised her head to the sky, her hands dropping to her side as fresh tears formed in her eyes.

"Soon, I will have what I want; but till then I will have to make do" She smiled at the moon, "You will always be there for me...月亮."

I actually have very long cold nights, where my only companion is the moon. She comforts me and makes me feel a little whole again. Wish it snowed her, or atleast rained more; those always make me feel just a bit better.
