A ref sheet of my new Rito OC, Aasim! I’ve been watching Game Grumps play Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, which is on par with Twilight Princess as my all time favorite Zelda game, and had the sudden desire to make my own Rito OC! I love the bird people, even though to me it makes very little sense for a water dwelling species to evolve into bird people when the earth flooded. oh well!

Aasim was a guard on Dragon Roost long ago, but after an incident where a flock of kargaroc where threatening the fair bird folk, he abandoned his people and become a loner. His scars are a testament to the attack of the kargaroc, although they do not compare to the amount of mental scars he has thrown upon himself. The attack of kargaroc on dragon roost lead to the near death of the Chieftains child (note: not the cheifain in Wind Waker, this would be a pre-Link existence) and Aasim fully blamed himself. Despite his lonely and jaded nature, he can’t break his need to help the less fortunate, and is commonly found helping people before immediately disappearing.
