A little Chronicles Lore Picture.

In this scene, Adrian just a year into his reign, looks over his previous history as a Republic General. He comes across the recording that happened days after the Razing of Meridum, after he was rescued from Bertoon's Grave. He reaches out to a recorder and records his message saying he failed to stop the Razing and failed to capture the Vernindad.

Adrian now angered and sadden at the same time he couldn't stop it even back then feels guilty over the massive amount of lives that were loss in the Razing and his own personal ties that lead to his near capture by the Vernindad during the event.
