viscious is (or will be, we’re still sort of brainstorming it) another goo-oriented ecosystem, though this one will have more of a focus on animals than plants (uli-orbison v we mostly just brainstormed plant life).

so we came up with a few creatures that could benefit from really violent tidal changes that required them to have gellatinious or gloopy adaptations. and why are the tides so severe? because the very bacteria that generate a breathable atmosphere form a thick sticky surface over the planet’s oceans. so though the moon pulls at the oceans causing a tide, it needs to overwhelm the surface tension of the bacterial sludge in order to ‘break’ and create a tidal flood.

but as a fun side effect, you could theoretically walk across the oceans. and that alone would probably be a galactic tourist draw!
