Earthling People by Chisech

Natural lifeforms known by the Romance term of "humans" are rare creatures from the Yarewsima reality. For the purposes of this article the equivalent Germanic term "groundlings" will be used instead to avoid confusion with unrelated species known as human ("people from beyond the mountains" in Rómvli languages).

===Homeland
Yarewsima is a reality that exists in its own mental state separate from the Miwa-Hahe reality. In Yarewsima is the Land of Soil, a dominion that saw the emergence of life, including the groundlings. Specifically, the Land of Soil's bottom sphere is where groundlings originate from, as the top sphere is not known to have been naturally fertile. For disambiguation purposes the bottom sphere may be called the Land of Groundlings while the top sphere, Land of Sparks.

===Physical Characteristics
Groundlings are colonial growths of archaea, each colony treated as an individual organism for most macroscopic purposes. Around 30 trillion microscopic units are part of any given colony. Being naturally occurring structures, groundlings possess exceedingly imperfect organ systems that are nevertheless sufficient for survival. After being assembled, groundlings will often remain functional for at least a few decades, after which their bodies will gradually degrade unless medical intervention is admnistrated.

As a species of lobe-finned fish, groundlings possess well-developed bony limbs which are further modified to facilitate locomotion on dry land. Usually, 6 limbs are present: two legs, two arms and one head (although this last may not actually be a limb, but a body segment). The final limb, the tail, is typically kept inside the body to support muscle groups of the pelvic floor. About 5 fingers may be found at the end of most limbs. The head often features a pair of chambered plasma cannons that appear to have lost their offensive capabilities and instead function as electromagnetic receptors. The head also has a closely spaced pair of holes that contain an extension of the brain. This structure is used to detect airbone particles and help with the ingestion of gaseous oxidants used in metabolism. Another pair of holes, more distantly spaced, is used to detect sounds. Groundlings also possess a mouth in their head, the opening of the digestive system.

===Metaphysical Characteristics
Most Land of Soil organisms have what is called "land of the heart", the capacity of projecting their consciousness beyond their bodily existence, powered by the metaphysical properties of their bodily fluids. This is similar to how many Miwa-Hahe organisms achieve something similar, through what is called the "flame of regret" and mediated by the crystal and neural content of their bodies. As with the Miwa-Hahe beings, however, this power is not self-sufficient and will cease to be once the body does. Despite this, groundlings have managed to master this property of their existence to create long-lasting metaphysical structures composed of data from multiple organisms and even locations.

===Common Source
Yarewsimaton, the Common Source Phenomenon, or simply the Common Source, is a cluster of minds and knowledge originating from organisms from two separate worlds. The groundling component of the Common Source is one of the better known in the Miwa-Hahe reality. Although the Common Source is incapable of manifesting itself in the Miwa-Hahe reality without risking obliteration, its mere existence may form "bulges" in Miwa-Hahe itself, much like how a fabric may conform to the shape of the object it covers while remaining a separate structure. This way, agents of the Common Source may create proxies of themselves while retaining their connection to the core structure.

Nevertheless, the Common Source is known to possess detachments, some of which have become integrated in the fabric of Miwa-Hahe. These detachments may not exist anymore but their mere existence in the past is enough to create agents in the future and other timeframes. Physical reproductions of the Land of Soil and its inhabitants have been created in Miwa-Hahe across time and space this way. In fact, this is one of the characteristics distinguishing the detachments from the Common Source proper: the detachments will try to recreate groundlings and their allied species in a perpetual cycle of recurrence, whereas the Common Source will attempt to guide entities through the path of emancipation while staying behind, mostly hidden.
