Assorted thoughts from past few days:
I re-introduced the "hope-regret" mechanic (or the "desire to be reborn") from 2008. Living beings are made up of life/magic-related organs (on Tenzali, the nervous system plus a pseudo-soul) that together give rise to the self. Sometime after death, the self can be spontaneously reassembled (reformed/reborn) in the world of the living (Mide-Wana) if there's enough hope/regret in saxaya associated to that self. In crude terms, saxaya allows reversible/recoverable connections between Hala-Hete and Mide-Wana, giving rise to the phenomenon of rebirth. Non-functional saxaya (areas of Alzbaraya's version of Mide-Wana not patched by the Minefedj System) give rise to a destructive system where selves are completely annihilated at death.

On Tenzali and Alzbaraya, Hala-Hete may also be referred by more traditional names like Sakhalapa, (Sak)Kpahë, Alápa(ya), Nisya, Pram(a) etc.
