Like many other content creators, our work was unfortuNUTely not in compliance with the "Constant, eager and sober" consent clause of Patreon's new TOS. You see, if I had only been creating content glorifying murdering human beings on a battlefield or whatnot, that would be fine, but once there's a penis involved, WHOA! 

Personally, I feel like if someone is paying me money in order to do things to their character, an aspect of that person as it were, that the consent is granted in the payment process. After all, why would you pay someone to make something you don't consent to happen? The only reason it is happening is because you paid money for that to happen.

However, I also recognize that there are puritanicals who get off on pretending that they can't differentiate between a cartoon, a story, and real life. I have had people threaten to murder my pets and loved ones, because they were so unhappy about things happening to fictional, anthromorphic characters that i created for a story that I wrote. The safest way, historically, to inflict violence and cruelty onto people (nonconsensually, to be specific) is to find a way to justify it, usually through religion but sometimes by just 'not understanding' that  simply having feelings about something doesn't justify acting on those feelings in a violent or cruel way.

Anyways.

That is a serious hit. I don't know how many April subscriptions were refunded, but any that hadn't been paid out should have been. I don't know which of my portal peril subscribers were refunded or not, so I will be doing a chapter for April for those subscribers regardless. 

On the plus side, while I have lost the engagement of everyone on Patreon, I have been quietly posting everything that was on Patreon to other sites at the same time.  The UnfortuNUT discord is one example, as well as the SubscribeStar.

Right now tiers are set to a $5 basic tier and a $40 "monthly portal peril story" tier. I am open to other suggestions. I have never had a single subscriber there so I am not expecting anyont to pop in but, hey, if you want to, feel free. <3
