In this musical number, Myrr Thistletail gets bitten by one of the undeads around Hilsbury Manor and is transformed into a bat thanks to the vampirism curse. She promptly breaks out in a gothic pop parody of Michael Jackson's "Bad". (As a side note, this was actually a part of Vanguard's quest lines but it has been currently been removed by the game developers).

The song was written for the Raki News Halloween 2007 show.

Technical
Taking on the legendary Michael Jackson's "Bad" isn't an easy task. Originally, the number was supposed to be more in an 80's pop style, but it has already been done better than I could by Weird Al in "Fat". So I went for a gothic pop style, which also better fit the subject matter of the song, and the Halloween theme of the Raki News show.

The organ and harpsichord are recorded one-take improvisations that turned out surprisingly well. I figured out the lines from the video and then played around until I could improvise them. The drums all cheesy and midi sequenced, just as intended.

Myrr's voice and the choir voices are all me, heavily post-processed and with exaggerated reverb to get the gothic pop feeling. The squeak nearly broke my ears the first time I had it on the head phones, not to mention doing it vocally. Memo to me: Don't do that again!
