A Grandfather is a mentor.

Teaching you many wonderful and exciting things.

A Grandfather is a historian.

A living glimpse into your family's past.

A Grandfather is a story teller.

With a treasure trove of tales to be told.

A Grandfather is a best friend.

Keeping all your secrets safe.

A Grandfather is a teddy bear.

Giving you comfort and security.

A Grandfather is a rock.

Keeping you safely anchored during the most violant of life's storms.

A Grandfather is all of those, and so much more.

So the next time you visit your grandfather, give him an extra-special hug... just because he's there. For there are few things in life as special, as a grandfather's love.

I miss you terribly, grandpa..
