After having a long art block I am back again!
And to start things off, here is a new species I had quite the troubles designing (took a couple weeks). They just didn't want to look like I had imagined them, until now!

Anyway, introducing Sasakori. Inspired by manticores.
Sasakori are very laid-back and live a simple lifestyle. Interaction with other races is mostly limited to selling fish and other hunting goods to them. They don't care much for the troubles of other races and will stay out of fights or wars unless they themselves are directly threatened. This however happens seldom as most of the other races highly respect the sasakori and will not involve them in any conflicts.

To this day, the sasakori and kitsudori share a deep bond with eachother. A long time ago, these two lived side by side and many great friendships came to be. Even though the kitsudori have turned to a total different lifestyle than that of the sasakori, they still respect and treasure their old friendship with them. There are a couple festivals a year (that both clans created a long time ago to strengthen their bonds) that are still held where they all get together and celebrate.

Even though it took forever, I had a lot fun designing them and am really happy to the outcome. The next ref I'll do will be of the kitsudori which I hopefully can do tomorrow.
I also need to mention that the refs of murcifer really inspired me as well, especially in wanting to create more species and to make better refs and stories for them.
