Aaaanyway, hey guys, this is Christoph! He's one of my older oc's and I still love him like a shit ton. He's actually a shapeshifting eldritch-esque tentacle monster from another dimension, but he generally presents himself like this in this dimension because tbh he forgets a lot exactly what he is. He's not exactly the most stable of people and can be a bit loopey at best. It's really hard to have a serious conversation with him because he's literally off in his own world 99% of the time. Fun fact! He actually used to date Jared (this dude > http://cannibalharpy.deviantart.com/art/Jared-Ref-2-0-576418156 ) for a short period of time because he tends to exhale a mildly hallucinogenic gas and Jared was into that :v

Aaaanyway, Christoph really is a pretty chill guy to be around, but he's really quite full of himself so it doesn't hurt to take him down a notch every now and then! Since his form isn't technically real, he can shapeshift quite a bit, but most of that ends up just being a different number of tentacles or "hey my claws are long today, why can't i put my gloves on, weird."
full disclosure, he doesn't even realize that he can shapeshift/is shapeshifting 99% of the time and almost always seems pretty firm in his belief that he is a, as he says, "perfectly normal human."
Any evidence that he is not, in fact, a human will be met with utter disbelief. Even if you're literally holding one of his tentacles in your hands and pointing out that humans are not (spoiler alert!) cephalopods.

General fun facts:

~He likes to think he's in the military (is not in the military.)

~He smokes like, nonstop. Chainsmoker is an understatement. This is horrible for his gills and is a big reason why they look so inflamed.

~His smoking actually covers up the fact that he tends to leak a weird pink haze from his mouth when he breathes. Whenever he exhales, a thin haze of hallucinogenic gas is emitted from his mouth, though it would take quite a lot for it to actually do anything. It looks sort of similar to cigarette smoke though, so he smokes in an attempt to cover up that lil' inhuman part of himself. Prolonged exposure to this gas generally results in temporary paralysis.

~He's actually hydrophobic, despite having gills. Something about the water just puts him off. Showers and baths are fine, but pools...nah.

~He ate calamari by accident once and cried for two weeks.

~His sexuality is ambiguous at best. Sometimes he'll say he's gay but he'll be actively dating a woman, so....tbh his apparent understanding of gender is dubious at best. It's easiest to say his sexuality is simply "yes"

~He technically feeds off of emotions, though sometimes he'll eat regular food to fit in. He especially likes clams.

~Confusion and distress are his favorite flavor of emotions. Glee and anger are his least favorite.

~He's never actually severely hurt anyone, and likely never will. He may threaten, but in all honesty, he's not a great fighter and is actually pretty fragile. (One smack to the gills is enough to drop him like a sack of potatoes)

~His tentacles ooze black goo wherever they go. This go is actually flammable, and can be an issue when he's lighting a cigar if he's trying to do it with his tentacles.

~He can have anywhere from 0 to 8 tentacles out at any given time, though generally he has either 2 or 4 out, depending on what he's doing.

~If he's confronted by anyone accusing him of being nonhuman due to the tentacles, he'll vehemently deny that they exist. (Even if he's actively using them for something)

~He's surprisingly good with mechanics. He can fix up a car in no time at all. Good luck getting him to use this skill intentionally, though. 99% of the time he'll just turn the car into something else. Like a blender. Or a stereo
system.

~He tends to multitask on almost everything he does. Even when he's eating, he's probably watching tv or reading a book or working on some sort of gadget.

~He loves H.P. Lovecraft stories, his favorite creature being Nyarlathotep.
