I’ve been getting back into weekly plein air painting! Or, when it’s not… completely soaked and muddy out in the woods, anyway. Since it has been so rainy here in Austin, though, I’ve been trying to get in some practice at painting water while the creek is still running. It’s, uh, tricky! This one went better than before, though, and ran about an hour and a half.
Yes, I have more of these from last year, and no, I won't post the first one from this year... not all of these wind up post-worthy!

Oh, sure! I took a couple photos but forgot to upload them anywhere with it-- it's not a great quality photo, hah. Here's a link! I selectively ignored a lot of the branches that would have just obscured the view.

Ooh. It's really gorgeous. I'm glad to see you doing things like this, but I love all your work even if I don't always comment on everything. I wish I could always think of what to say.
Really though, I love how the water came out. Is this really what the creek looks like? I'd like to see it.
