Word of the Day - Palliate

Brock O'Meles

Palliate: (verb) Lessen or to try to lessen the seriousness or extent of.

I fall a lot as a cub. I'm clumsy, have little in the way of fine motor control, and have a tendency to think my limbs are longer than they actually are. Anything other than level, flat ground will usually send me for a tumble, and steps and stairs are a dangerous obstacle for me without a steadying paw to hold onto.

Even if I don't physically hurt myself much in these tumbles, because of my fragile emotional state they usually send me into tears due to the shock and fear emotions triggered by event. So, if I DO actually hurt myself in an accident, it really sends me over the edge, and the only thing that can palliate the event is Bella's presence and touch.
