TL;DR:
Farzin said his goodbyes and left the pack, attempting to stop his alpha from what he considered a suicide mission. That's the last anyone saw of him.
Phaeton had his own suspicions about his mother's death, but couldn't confront the new alpha directly. In the end he decided he would have to search for the truth himself.
