Tommy-er, Tanni here was NOT the intended target, and as such, she doesn't get the full effect of the change. That's why she managed to rebel and remain independent.
BTW, that other woman is an N64-tan, and SHE got changed here.
(in fact, (s)he was the other guy in the first page...and the INTENDED target)

Oddly, I made a reference to that show yesterday. (Everything I know about it I found out after reading a Suburban Jungle arc which featured the village but I didn't know it was a reference to something else until the remake/reboot/whatever came on AMC, so don't give me too much cred)
