A modern age Cyg.

He is very different from the original Cyg, story and personality-wise.

Unlike the original Cyg, who was very much disliked in the Armada due to his mixed race, the modern age Cyg was actually quite popular among his co-workers at the police station, since pure race isn't that big of a deal anymore.

Like the original, this Cyg also lost his sight sue to brain damage, caused by a hit on the head.

He was honorably discharged afterwards, but didn't take it as badly as the original Cyg, who was pretty much fired in a very unofficial way.

He is a much brighter character in the modern day, with no desire to get revenge. He does drown his misery in alcohol when no one is watching, but tries his best to seem unchanged and cool, even with his disability.
