The party knows about this arrangement ever since Monty barged in while he was on a mirror zoom call, got himself yoinked into the lich's lair, and upon refusing a warlock pact was nearly killed if not for his guardian angel interfering. So... Yeah. The party's keeping an eye on him these days.
