Kingdead Short story commission by Bomba

Aelius groggily woke up from his bed. The little otter had a semi-rough night. The tremors of their guest caused a bit of noise for their quaint little neighborhood. They owed the giant wolf outside a great deal for helping the little otter through his trying times. Because of Kingdead, things had normalized for the couple. The otter thought about offering their guest outside some coffee, but he knew there wasn’t going to be enough. Alkali actually left early that morning to get a cake, and the impatient wolf outside was awoken by the driving. It was bound to happen. The otter had to at least occupy his time after before the grey roo came back.

A great cracking sound reverberated through the house worrying the otter. Quickly Aelius ran out of the house only to open the door up and see a paw blocking the outside. It was a wall of wolf paw; KD had pressed his feet against the house. The little otter ran to nearby windows looking for one that wasn’t covered by the paw pads of the hero outside. While he was searching for an unoccupied window the otter wrapped himself in a bathrobe. He didn’t want any neighbor who may have stuck around seeing a tiny petite naked otter. By the time he found an unobstructed window things began falling from shelves and the wall plaster started to crack.

“King! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GET OFF MY HOUSE!” the otter yelled between the wolf’s paws, King’s face obstructed by a massively sized cellphone.

The phone dropped a bit to see the wolf look between his paws at the little otter, the house barely going past the arch of his paw. “Oh! I’m sorry, I was looking for any trouble going on in the city. Crime doesn’t sleep on a hero’s birthday.” Loud meows echoed through the neighborhood from the phone, startling the hero a bit. “That was… my hero alarm. And not a cat video.”

The wolf took his paws off the house with some apologies before sitting back up in an Indian style seated position. “Look, just think about what to wish for. It’s your birthday and that means you have to blow out some candles. Also, that video is cute, it was totes on my timeline this morning.” The otter went back inside, a knowing smirk on his whiskery face.

Kingdead gave a surprised look from his green mask. It almost hid his blush. The otter went back to getting ready. He needed a shower. Maybe he could buy another gift for KD later on. Or maybe try and help on his heroic activities. Even though when a full moon hit Aelius still only came past his ankles on a good day. King could get ridiculously bigger if needed. Maybe Aelius could stop the big doofus from making things more of a mess. The otter lost himself in thought while he took a shower.

Things didn’t feel right though. The overly large shower designed for the bigger kangaroo boyfriend of his felt a little more cramped. The shower that once rained down over the otter now only got his chest wet. When the otter turned it off his towel was pathetically small. Something screwy was going on. As he bent over to find a towel that fit from beneath the sink his head hit the ceiling. Wait, that wasn’t right. His head couldn’t have hit the ceiling. But his tail thudded against the opposite wall, and his paws pressed against one of the other walls. Aelius tried everything he could to fit in the room, laying down and crouching down as best that the now big otter could.

The walls creaked and moaned, making the otter worried that things weren’t going so great. All of these situations going on at the same time didn’t give him any time to think about why he was suddenly filling up his bathroom. Soon his thick tail busted through the locked bathroom door relieving some of the pressure on his backside. Then he looked to his right and realized that his face was next to the bathroom door and that his tail had just pushed through a wall into the next adjacent room.

Was it really so bad to just explode and be more mobile? Maybe if he was quick enough Aelius could save some of the house. This wasn’t the first time that he was suddenly big after all. Before he could do anything the walls creaked more, his paws pushed through the wall, and his head went through another wall. Instinctively his hands shot up to protect his head, effectively mowing through the ceiling that his head had pushed through. Within another second his body exploded from its prison. Instant relief flooded the otter as his body was restricted no more.

Laying on the ground Aelius looked at the very surprised Kingdead who looked on with an outstretched hand. “Are you okay? My wish came true!”

“What are you talking about?”

Looking around, Aelius saw his tail had stretched into some of the other neighbor’s houses; his thick tail was about as big as them now. Looking down at his paw the once otter concluded that once again he was a roo. But not only that, he was way bigger than he had ever gotten. This was way past the thirty foot mark he reached on every full moon. And King was surprisingly less intimidating and looming now that he was the same height as him.

“Oh…” the roo said as he realized the conclusion of King’s wish was Aelius being his height. “King, look at my house.”

“I know right? Isn’t that just awesome?” KD spoke as he pounced the roo.

The roo’s eyes widened as the wolf dove at him. A mini tremor later and the wolf hugged his new, same-sized friend. King loved that he now didn’t have to worry about squishing his friends when showing affection; then again it never stopped him before. Most of the houses nearby that weren’t destroyed from the flailing, growing roo were now in such a decrepit state that the shockwave from the pounced-hug made them collapse in on themselves.

King rolled off and helped the roo back onto his overly massive feet. It was always a journey to get used to your new size and paws. Even if it happened pretty much every month it still would need some getting used to. This time though, a foot took up more than just a street. How would the roo find his steps this time? How did KD even manage to walk through cities without the road being clear?

Kigdead coughed and handed him a cape. “Uh… you may need this more than I,”

The roo blushed and took the cape. In this new height Aelius had forgotten about the clothes he now didn’t have. Luckily the one responsible for this mess came through in a pinch. A blush painted Aelius’s face as his tail pressed through his legs. The cape covered up his front but the roo was made painfully aware that his new height would attract even more attention than his 30ft height. But before they could do anything more a truck horn blared showing a truck with a giant trailer behind it.

“What did you do to my house?” Alkali yelled, stepping out of the cab. “What did you do?”

Aelius was surprised that the once big roo was now barely the size of one of his toes. Or that the truck didn’t even come close to an ankle. The little roo’s voice was so tiny and squeaky that he could have sworn he was a mouse instead of a hulking boyfriend. King was blushing madly before wrapping a hand around the big roo’s shoulders, holding him in a side hug.

“I got my present!” KD got to his hands and knees to inspect the truck, his big brushy tail wagging behind him. “What’s this?”

“Our house is all over the place? You smashed the entire neighborhood. What were you thinking?” Alkali yelled at the two. “How do you plan on…?”

Aelius stepped forward to the side of the truck where Alkali was. The tiny kangaroo’s voice trailed off as he looked up. “Paying… for this…”

The wolf stood up and stepped on the cab. “I think I know how to handle this situation. I am a hero after all.” His toes wiggled as the tiny roo’s attention went from the huge roo paws, to then being surrounded by the wolf’s paws. King’s toes wiggled a bit as the metal scrunched and compressed more and more into the pavement. Alkali was surrounded by paws as the two looming creatures looked down, completely engrossed in the height and power they had over the little roo.

“Oh, I forgot, we got you cake. Mind if I put the topping on the cake, my friend?” Aelius asked.

With those words the roo bent over, the cape falling down revealing his nude form to the world. In one fluid motion a big hand grabbed Alkali and hoisted him up between the two buff individuals. Alkali saw the nude, golden roo, then the tight spandexed muscles of King before they were face to face with each other. A big wolf nose was forced into view as King licked his chops.

“Better blow out your candle,” the roo chuckled a bit behind the grey little roo in the hero’s grasp.

A fanged smirk crossed the gigantic maw in front of Alkali. “Happy Birthday to me!”
