The game (FFXIV) was down last night for work and myself and a few friends were doing some art during down time. I’ve been having a lot of fun designing potential outfits for X’issi as a sky pirate.

This one, however, really speaks to me in some ways though. Especially the asymmetrical leggings (the covered leg goes all the way down the leg and fans near the lower ankle). Its lacking some of the jewelry detail I’d like to give it, but maybe during another attempt. I’m also very hesitant about the veil? It feels like it sens off the wrong vibe. So I’m not really happy with that. I do love the Hooded Bolero and vest coat though… the arm snake as well. I’m really digging the one side of her hair being a loose beaded pony. It looks great for her sky pirate life style. That hair style will definitely stay no matter what.

So basically this one was mostly playing with blended colors and clothing styles.

You’ll also notice the sun at the top of her hood and bottom corner of her vest coat, which is a theme among her pirate crew! Their naming convention will most likely be based on something to do with the sun and/or its warmth. So those will likely also be remaining in the theme.

However I’d like to get the right balance of pirate and eastern in her clothing style… right now this just feels like too much Eastern influence.
