Game of Squash by bogm0nst3r

It was a nice day outside as the sun brought warmth to the breezy day while a few puffy white clouds slowly moved across the sky. The streets were a little crowded as cars drove by, and the pedestrians seemed content as they went about their daily business. Pubs were crowded by men who had gotten off work and wanted drink, though, there was a new show coming on. It was a game show that was about to air for the first time on the tv, and though the events of each airing may be different, there was one goal that remained the same: Don’t get flattened. The families of the contestants had gathered to watch their family member try and win a daily prize, and those that come from a land where there was no tv were given television sets to watch their kin win the challenge.

“Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to the first competition. I am your host, Eccentric Chimera, and this is my co-host, Charlie!” the chimera said enthusiastically, dressed as a vampire. The camera panned down to a grinning espurr who was waving at the camera, who was dressed as the 11th doctor from Doctor Who.
“This year, the prize is $100,000, a free spa day, and a movie pass good for an entire year to watch free movies anywhere! Now let's meet the contestants!” Charlie said with pride as he puffed out his chest.

“Our first contestant is Nate, a half jackyl,” Eccentric said as Nate, a grey furred anthro jackal, walked up to the host.
Nate had a serious look on his face as if he were planning every possible scenario in his head.
“”Welcome to the show. Are you excited to be here?” Chimera asked. Nate looked at him, a small mile on his face.
“This is a great way to keep my skills up. As a mercenary, I need to be ready for anything,” Nate said confidently. Eccentric got nervous when he heard Nate was a mercenary, and his smile showed it.
“You might stomp out the competition,” he said, a little nervous for the next contestants.
“We’ll see,” was all that Nate had said. Before he left, Eccentric asked him where he was from, but he kept that a secret, and Eccentric kindly asked him to go and prepare while they meet the rest of the competitors. Charlie jumped up and down excitedly, waving his arm.

“Next, we have Sunny!” Charlie said, excitement in his eyes as a red-orange unicorn came trotting to the hosts.
“You seem excited! Are you ready to play?” he asked.
“You bet I am!” Sunny said as she jumped up and down in place. She wore a determined grin when she thought of the prizes that would be won .
“Where are you from?” Charlie asked, just as eager to start the game.
“I’m from Ponyville,” she said, standing proud to represent her hometown.
“What do you do for your job?” Charlie asked, a little curious as to what she did for a living. Sunny stopped bouncing around and looked Charlie in the eyes.
“I don’t have a job. I’m an adventurer, though,” she said before she bounced away, happily to Nate.

“Our third contestant is Strike, from Hoofington!” he said, and a brown unicorn with a blue underbelly came trotting up.
“Welcome to the show. Tell us about yourself,” Eccentric requested as he pointed the mic to Strike, kneeling down for the unicorn. Strike wore a small smile, and took a step back, though, he was a little happy to be there. He cleared his throat, and said
“I’m Strike, and I come from Hoofington,” he said in a quiet voice. It was barely audible, but Eccentric didn’t want to pressure him into talking.
“I’m Eccentric, and I like playing with my friends. Maybe we could hang out some time,” he said. Strike wore a bigger smile, and agreed that they might be able to hang out sometime. He walked off the camera to join the other two as a pony of a lighter brown came on

“This our last contestant, but not the least! This is Tinker, from what we were told, he builds stuff!” Charlie said as he smiled at Tinker.
“I like to build all sorts of gadgets and weapons,” he said before he blushed a little.
“Cool! Maybe we could science together!” Charlie shouted, clapping his hands. Tinker felt a little uncomfortable with Charlie, who seemed strange to him.
“Tinker is also from Ponyville, and has a roommate too!” Charlie said. He began to daydream about the three of them doing some kind of science related activity. Eccentric signaled for Tinker to head to the designated waiting spot before he continued with the show.

“The contestants will head through a two story mansion filled with lots of traps that, once set, will squash the participant,” Eccentric said.
“The goal is to reach find the end before anyone else can,” Charlie said.
“Each room is either a trap room or the way to the other floor. The trap rooms can only be escaped if you solve the puzzle, endure the trap for a set amount of time, or using your wit to avoid getting squashed,” Eccentric said as he sat Charlie down.
“ Once someone finishes going up the stairs, all the rooms on the previous floor will switch around,” Charlie said, wondering how in the world they’d do that.
“There are also traps and obstacles in the hallway too, so good luck!” Eccentric said.

The four contestants stood in front of the massive mansion, waiting for the brown, wooden doors to open. Tinker took a deep breath in and let it out to try and keep himself calm as Sunny bounced excitedly in place, her red mane with a yellow streak moving up and down from the bouncing. Strike looked at Sunny and smiled, noticing that she was a unicorn as well. He smiled nervously before looking at the door. Nate stood still, not showing any kind of signs on how he was feeling. He let out a sigh, and at the moment, the double doors slowly opened with a creak. The halls were dim, and a red carpet covered the floor, and it seemed the hallway just went in one direction. Sunny was the first to enter, dashing off into the single direction.
“Hey wait!” Tinker called out to Sunny as he and the other two dashed inside. Sunny paid him no mind, wanting to be first to the goal. She came to an abrupt stop once she saw a trench in the floor. It looked like a bottomless pit, and since she could use magic, she levitated herself over it. She came to a four-way intersection and looked at the three ways she could go before using “Eenie meanie miney moe” to decide which way to go. After doing so, she made a left, and ran down the hall with green doors. She opened the first door and entered it, and after seeing there were no stairs, the room had locked itself. A table rose from the floor, and on the table was an electronic tablet that had cards on it. Sunny walked over to it with curiosity in her eyes, her red eyes big with wonder.
“It looks like Sunny sprung the first trap!” Eccentric said as the camera in the room zoomed in on her. The cards on the screen each had a match, except for one. The single, unmatched card was black, and it had a word “SQUISH” written white on it. The cards flipped themselves and three hearts appeared in the lower left hand corner. Sunny realized she didn’t have a lot of chances, and from the looks of it, she didn’t have a lot of time as one of the hearts slowly faded from top to bottom. She flipped one card, which was of a black spider. She looked around for its matching card, and chose one at random. It was a picture of a werewolf. The heart that was fading was completely faded due to the wrong choice, and both cards turned around. She chose one card, and it was a black spider, which she remembered where it was. She chose another card, and it was of werewolf. She smiled confidently, a sigh of relief that she would have this in the bag. She giggled out loud as time was running out, getting another match. The next card she chose had a witch on it. She couldn’t remember where it was, and she ended up getting the wrong card. The ceiling above came falling over her. Sunny screamed and covered her head as she got on the floor, her heart racing with fear that the ceiling would flatten her into dust. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and saw the table had lowered, and that the ceiling was right above her. She wasn’t giggling anymore, and she began to sweat as she looked at the cards on the tablet. She chose one carefully, and on the card was a Vampire. She had to be careful now. One wrong choice and she’d be out. Her arm shook as she went to make a choice, holding her breath while making her decision. She quickly touched the card on the screen that she wanted to flip, and it was a vampire. Only three cards left, and she had succeeded in surviving the room. The ceiling rose up again, and the lock of the door made a small “click” sound to signify that the door was unlocked once she picked the cards of the witches. Sunny smiled and jumped around excitedly as she cheered, leaving only after she remembered it was a race.

The other three players saw the pit, but Nate didn’t slow down, but instead, he sped up. He jump off the floor at an angle, and then he used his legs to jump off the wall, making it to the other side. Tinker thought that was cool, but he soon saw he was stranded by himself as Strike used his magic to levitate himself across.
“That’s not fair,” he thought to himself as he sat down on the floor, feeling disadvantaged. He then remembered he had parts with him and built himself a jetpack. He flew over the pit, the flames leaving a trail of gray smoke behind him as he made his way over the pit.
“I think think the first trap should have looked smaller,” Charlie said as everyone continued to watch. Tinker’s friends all cheered and shouted with Joy as he flew over the trap and back into the competition. He came to the intersection and turned right. Ahead of him, there were pumpkins rolling from right to left down what looked like another hall, and on the other side of the boulders was a blue door. There was a small gap the was big enough that he could barely fly over, so he timed his jump very carefully, and then turned his jetpack on, flying ahead to the blue door, happy he didn’t get squished. He opened the door, and entered the room, hoping it was the room with the stairs. He stepped into the middle of the room and the door slammed shut, locking itself before the back wall opened to reveal black, giant bat-shaped hammers smashing the floor with a “THUD”. Tinker quickly turned around, his heart racing, when he heard a “click,” and realized the door had been locked. He had to face the massive hammers, a boom echoing through the room as if the floor was a drum. He stepped over to the hammers that pounded the ground with such force, it seemed he would be pulverized into a fine powder or into some type of dough looking thing if he were to fail the task of making it to the switch on the other side. He could not fly over the hammers, and it looked risky to just fly through. He watched the hammers come down carefully, trying to figure out the pattern that they came down in. It took him a while, but he took the chance, rushing forward. He did his best to avoid the hammers, and it looked like he was dancing an exotic love dance with each leap, working up a sweat as he tried to keep up with the pattern of the hammers. His breath began to quicken as his heart raced, and it seemed like the hammers were starting to move quicker. Tinker was starting to get nervous as his movements became slower. He took one jump and then turned his jetpack on, giving his last effort to avoid being crushed. The Goal was right there, and when it seemed like he was going to make it, he made it! Tinker excitedly pushed the button, and the door unlocked and the hammers stopped slamming down onto the ground, making the room go quiet again. He quickly galloped to the door and crashed into it. He fell to the floor, but he got up and opened the door, exiting the room. He, and his friends at home, shouted and cheered that he had completed a challenge and stayed in the game.
“That looked really intense,” Charlie said. “I thought my tampering with the hammers would have made him lose,” he said, moving a foot back and forth on the ground.
“Charlie, that ‘Vasn’t’ nice!” he said as he scowled at the little pokemon, his arms crossed against his chest. He huffed a bit, but other than that, he went back to viewing the contestants.

Nate had chosen to head forward when he came to the intersection, and followed it. There didn’t seem to be any doors, but he wasn’t too concerned about it, since he figured they were more likely to be traps or some sort of challenge. After what seemed like forever, he came to a door that was red and shiny, and decided to give that room a shot. The door clicked as it locked once Nate had entered the room. The walls were gray, and the carpet inside was soft and red. There were stairs leading upwards; however, before Nate could get to them, a small boy came running down. He wore a black witch hat that had a yellow star on it, and had the matching witch robes. He looked up at Nate with his greenish, bluish eyes and a smile that seemed out of place. He held in his hand a yellow hammer that had flat ends on both sides, and he bopped Nate with it, and an audible squeak was made. It did not hurt Nate in the slightest, but he was confused as he stood there for a moment before a hammer fell from the ceiling, hitting his head on the way down before it landed on the floor. He picked it up, and the boy pointed to the monitor, which showed a demonstration on what to do. Nate smirked at the task at hand before a whistle was heard, and the challenge began. Green ghost rose up from the floor, and both Nate and the boy began to whack them while fanfare music played. The ghosts dissipated once they were hit, both rivals scoring points well into their thirties. The clock ticked down with each passing second, only making a buzzing sound once five seconds remained. The whistle sounded once more to end the game, and Nate had won by one point, thus, he was able to leave the room. The boy fell to his hands and knees, silently crying over having lost to the jackyl his confidence shattering like a tea cup smashing against the floor, but once Nate had left, he got up and smiled before running back up the stairs for a break and to recompose himself.

Strike had walked down the halls, searching for a door. He had gone the way Sunny had went, but when he went to the first door he saw, it was locked, so he decided to keep moving forward, only stopping once he saw a door. He used his magic to open it, and trotted in as he looked around him. The door slammed shut as he stepped in the center of the room, which had lights that had pumpkin shades that had faces on them like jack-o-lanterns. There was wallpaper here that had skeletons on them. As Strike looked around to find what he was supposed to do, the skeleton on the wall paper slowly began to move as if they were dancing. Strike noticed that they moved when he moved, and when he jumped, they jumped. He didn’t notice they were moving closer to the center of the room with each movement. Whatever the puzzle was for this room, he was unable to figure it out. He sat down on the floor and looked around before he began to lie on the floor. He took a deep sigh and exhaled as he waited to be eliminated, feeling sure this was a timed room. After what seemed like hours, he heard the click of the lock and bolted up, looking over to the door before he got onto his hooves and darted towards the exit happy he survived. The skeletons did twirls as they went back into place, waiting for the next contestants to enter their room.

Sunny had left the room as Strike entered the skeleton room and ran past the door after coming up with a strategy on finding the exit. Since there were three other players, she would skip one door, and then enter the next one she found. It sounded effective in her head and she was determined to use it to win. She saw another door, and galloped to it, her eyes glued to the door as she rushed over to it. She opened it, and then she slammed it shut after entering the room. The door locked itself, as usual, and sunk below the ground.
“Hey! What’s going on?” she shouted as she ran to the door, trying to keep it up. Suddenly, the floor became black, the walls became blue and some of them disappearing, and then a familiar jingle began to play. It was then she was in the pac-maze, and yellow dots appeared around the whole maze, with only four power pellets. She turned to the left, and began touching the dots as she followed them.
“And Sunny has entered another challenge room!” Eccentric said in an excited voice.
“This room is challenging because not only does Sunny have to avoid being squashed by the four ghosts, but she also has to get a high score before she completes this challenge!” Charlie said as he turned on his sonic screwdriver toy at the camera. Sunny dashed through the maze with Blinky on her tail, trying to not get ran over by the steam roller the red ghost was driving while collecting the little dots. There was a “T” junction up ahead, and she had to choose quickly, and if she went the wrong way, she would end up meeting a ghost and have her chances of winning crushed. Blinky was closing the gap between him and her as she moved forward, her heart racing with each step she took until she arrived at the intersection. The cyan ghost named Inky appeared ahead of her, riding in what looked like a metallic presser the slammed onto the ground with such speed that there was no way anyone could dive under the device without getting crushed. Inky didn’t seem too concerned about Sunny at the moment and was moving at a steady pace as if he were on a leisurely stroll. Sunny made a hard left and followed the path until she came to an intersection. She was here before, but she knew there were dots she hadn’t gotten. She turned right and followed the dots. She saw Clyde, who was swinging a hammer up and down, turn from a hallway and made a left, losing Blinky and continued her task.
“Look at Sunny go! Can she get the high score and avoid getting squished?” Charlie said as he watched Sunny collect the dots. Sunny narrowly avoided getting pressed against Pinky’s giant crash symbols as she galloped through the maze. She was not on a time limit, perse, but she knew she would tire out soon if she didn’t get everything.

Tinker had found a room full of ghosts, who moaned and wailed as they rattled chains and banged on pots. Tinker had avoided the ghost and completed the task by placing the electric signal disruptor into the device, which unlocked the door. He casually walked out and headed down the hallway and entered a nearby door that seemed the way to go. As soon as he entered, the room had locked itself and the stairs were in plain sight. He gallopped up the stone stairs, wearing a grin and his eyes beamed with joy. When he arrived up the stairs, the floor was covered in dark, blood-red marble tiles. Lit candles lined the walls to give the second floor a more spooky vibe, and the room itself looked more like a company that had cubicles over the place. He looked around himself as he started walking, noticing there seemed to be little obstacles here. He just walked straight ahead and walked to a large room, that had an orange sign on it.
“Room out of order,” it said in black sharpie writing. Tinker shrugged and continued to look for another door.
“Tinker is the first to make it to the second floor!” Eccentric said as he watched the pony open and enter another door.
“And he sprung a timed challenge!” Tinker was eager to do the challenge as the door locked and a puzzle appeared. The pieces scattered and turned themselves before shuffling, and then they stopped and the timer began. Tinker then began to try and piece the puzzle together.

Nate had just narrowly avoided being squished against the floor from a giant spider that was pushing him into it with its abdomen when the door unlocked itself. The spider took its cue and stood up reluctantly before walking back into the other room where it came from. Nate breathed a sigh of relief after sitting up. He looked over himself to make sure nothing was missing or damaged before rising to his feet and leaving the room. He walked down the hall as he looked around, noticing the way he came was no longer there and was near the entrance to the mansion. He felt a little frustrated because he knew there was a chance he would have to go back to the villager again. He smirked a little when he remembered how easy the villager’s challenge was and began to walk the way Sunny and Strike had gone when they first entered the intersection. He saw a blue door and walked over to it, hoping it was the way to the second floor; unfortunately, the door led to the room with the bat shaped hammers. He noticed the pattern the hammers after observing a few minutes and took a breath to keep calm as he prepared to get through the hammers without getting squished.

Strike had completed his task and wandered around the halls, looking around as he came to the giant pumpkins rolling by. He scratched his head and then remembered he had magic. H levitated himself up and over the pumpkins as he cautiously levitated over them, only starting to run once he was safely across the from where he was. He accidentally bumped into Sunny , who was also running. They hurt themselves in the head and became dizzy as they both passed out for a few minutes.
“They look cute like that,” Charlie said as he played with his Sonic screwdriver. Sunny was the first to wake up. She sat up and began to rub her head, and she was dizzy from the impact as her head throbbed. Once her vision became clear, she saw Strike slowly sit up and do what she did, though he groaned.
“Why did you crash into me?” she asked as she scowled. “Are you trying to get me out?” she asked as she stood up at him and got in Strike’s face. Strike shrunk back as he began to sweat and was to nervous to answer Sunny. He began to sweat as he began to think of all the possible things Sunny would say to him.
“N-no,” he said, quietly. Sunny changed her face from a scowl to a merry one.
“Okay!” she said, fired up to win the game. Strike suggested that they should team up until the end of the game was in sight. Sunny agreed to Strikes suggestion, and the two were off together in a random direction. They opened a door, and saw there were stairs. They reached the second floor

Tinker completed the puzzle right before the time was up and he left the room, though the rooms had relocated themselves again. He was not too concerned since, but then he saw Strike and Sunny running in the distance after he turned left. He went running in the direction he saw them in, turning when he go to the intersection he saw them run down. He saw them enter a door and decided it would be best if he went back to finding the stairs himself. He opened the door that was to his right and once it was closed, the lights went out, and the door locked itself.
“Eww!” Tinker said once he took a sniff in the air. He began to cough and gag a little before he heard someone speak.
“Hear my voice and do as I say,
Turn the lights on or you’ll stay,” the voice said in a screechy voice. Tinker felt like he was going to vomit, but he was able to hold it in, though his face was a little green. He turned around and felt the door, moving to the right to look for a light switch. Once he found it, he pushed the switch up.
“Click” went the light switch. The light in the room was high above on the ceiling, and the room itself was large and held a large crowd who sat in the audience. Tinker was really surprised that such a room fit inside the mansion, but he knew why the room stunk. He looked at all the faces in the audience, who jeered and clapped before he walked up to the podium as he looked at the witch behind her own podium.
“Welcome to my show inside a show!
The challenge is easy, so you know.
All you have to do is answer right,
or you will suffer from a bight,” the witch explained in rhyme, her hands holding onto the edge of the podium as she looked at her score card and player information. She had with her all the answers. Tinker thought that he could easily win this.
“If you fail, and I hope you do,
My magic spell will flatten you!” she said before cackling.
“Listen up and make your choice,
which one of you has this dumb voice?” she asked as she pushed a button that randomly played a recording of someone’s voice. Tinker thought about it, and then he wrote his answer.
“The time is up, what did you say?
SHow us now, we’ve not all day, she said. Once she saw Tinker’s answer, it was shown to be correct.
“That was right, but don’t get smug.
We’ve got 5 more, you little bug.” she said before she started another question.
“Just because I’m very mean,
what does AFJROTC in the military mean?” she asked. Tinker wasn’t so sure he knew the answer because he wasn’t in the army, but he did know that there were different kinds of guards. Those who could fly, those who could use magic, and those who were earth guards.
He thought about it, but before he could finish writing his answer, the time for him to answer was up. A small shock hit him on his hooves, making him feel tingly, though, he felt a little pain.
“You got hurt, and what for?
You did not know what AFJROTC stood for.
You have two more chances, don’t blow it now,
if you want free from this old cow,” she said before continuing the quiz.

Sunny and Strike had entered the room with a sleeping unicorn, who happened to be the size of a small bus. He was using his magic to play an electric guitar, so he didn’t hear as he head banged the air. He stood on his hind hooves as he played.
“DING!” Landry stopped playing his guitar when he heard the loud bell alerted him of the two guests in his room. He noticed Sunny and he smiled a little. “Hello!” he shouted as he got down to her level. Sunny waved to him happily while Strike got a little nervous as he smiled.
“I’m supposed to try and smush you now, but you’re too cute and beautiful,” Landry said before looking at Strike. “Hello,” he said as he held out a hoof for a hoof shake or a hoof bump. Strike bumped hooves with him, his heart racing a little as Landry stood up. Sunny began to walk around to get a view of it. There was a nice tv, and a vcr+dvd player. A few game systems were lined up against the wall, and were connected to the tv, and a nice collection of games were on a shelf.
“Want to play a game while we wait for the door to unlock?” Landry asked as he watched Sunny
“Oh boy! A game!’ Sunny shouted with enthusiasm about playing a game.
“I’d love to play a game!”
Landry smiled before looking at Strike. Strike nodded in agreement, though, he was not sure about it. They were unable to decide which game to play, so it was decided that they would play a pre-game and the winner would get to pick the game to play. The game they chose was Twister. The game had them knotted with each other, and it seemed impossible how they ended up that way, since they looked more like they were one huge ball. Strike and Sunny ultimately lost that game, so Landry chose a game. He got a chair, which only seated one person, but Strike and Sunny were able to sit on the arms. The music from the game filled the room once it was turned on, and the two competitors took a seat on each arm. Landry took the middle seat since it would be easier to play that way. The game Landry chose was Time Splitters 2: Multiplayer addition, and they put it on the Fire Tag minigame. The trio laughed and had a great time playing each of the games, and They didn’t want to stop playing. They did decided to play one of the games with the highest score would win, and had it so only the three of them would be able to play. The game went on for half an hour, and in his excitement, Landry stood up quickly, causing Strike and Sunny to fall into the seat. Before they knew it, Landry sat downon them with his smooth, round butt with such forc force, it looked as though they were pushed deep into the couch.
“Did they get eliminated?” Eccentric asked. Charlie shrugged before “Count” Eccentric placed a hand over his ear. Landry looked around for Strike and Sunny, but couldn’t find them. The game they were playing was over, so he decided to turn it off.
“Sunny and Strike have been eliminated!” Eccentric said while Charlie continued to play with his Sonic Screwdriver. Landry felt his butt once her heard the two had been eliminated, and felt them smooth as if they were cutie marks. The duo looked as though they were giving each cheek a nice hug, with their arms having a crease in it before appearing on the other cheek.

Nate had just arrived on the second floor, and his fur was a mess. He had repeated a few rooms because of the rooms switching up on him. He huffed and puffed as he fell to the ground, a little exhausted. There were no traps or obstacles in view, so he thought he would relax and take a little breather as he looked around. Once he caught his breath, he heard that Sunny and Strike had been eliminated, though he didn’t care to learn how. He stood up and dashed to nowhere in particular as he searched for a door. He came to one that was locked, and a screechy voice informed him that it was locked; however, the door unlocked itself and he dodged it as it opened. Tinker stepped out of it, smiling happily that he survived yet another challenge Nate was smart enough to not go in there, though, the bad odor came out. He held his breath as he dashed away until he came to a door. Once he opened it, he felt a chilly breeze exit the room. He entered, and once the door was locked, the lights in the room dimmed, and a ramp appeared. Down came a huge, black ball with orange stripes. It bounced off the walls uncontrollably, narrowly squishing Nate a few times. There didn’t seem to be an end in sight as it moved around. Nate grew tired after what seemed like hours, and the ball looked as though it was beginning to grow in size. He quickly jumped into one of the four corners of the room, since the ball was too big to run him over. He thought it would have been more than a challenge if the ball didn’t grow so big, but he won the room that required much stamina, and the ramp turned to stairs, and a sign pointed up. Nate did not know if it he should go up the stairs or not, but he took the chance to see if he had found the end of the maze. Once he got there, he slid down into the hallway that he had passed, but another ball came rolling out too. Nate took off running at full speed to avoid the giant ball, which chased him. He met up with Tinker again, but he kept running.

Tinker saw the giant ball rolling towards him and Nate, and turned his jetpack on. He flew into the air and avoided the ball, though his jetpack ran out of fuel, and he fell to the floor. He was a little dizzy from the impact, but he knew he was safe. He got up and headed the way he was going before he met with Nate and the ball, following the carpet that was now a poison purple. He came to a door that, for some strange reason, wobbled about as it made noises. Jack-o-lanterns arrived, jumping forward and landing on the floor. They made a thump sound with each landing, their candlelight glowing brightly inside of them. Tinker quickly entered the room, but instead of hearing the usual “click”, there was a “Boom!” It startled Tinker for a moment as he frantically looked around the room, looking to see if there were anything flying towards him; fortunately, there was nothing in the room that was attacking him. He looked around the room and saw there was a a big red button in the center of the room, glowing as if it were a beacon calling to the stallion.
“I don’t remember that room. Did you make it, Charlie?” Eccentric asked, raising an eyebrow.
“No. I had the construction workers build it because I thought we could use more obstacles in the hallways,” he said after turning off his mic.

Eccentric facepalmed himself as Tinker pushed the red button. The wall with the door opened up, and Tinker heard the sound of a lift, though it sounded like there was a barrier of some kind. The wall that was opposite of the door exploded, sending debris towards him. A lot of smoke had been created by the explosion, and he took the chance to hide next to the hole so he could hide behind it when whatever made it came out. Something strange came out, and it looked like an old salt shaker. It was orange in color, though the dome part was green. It wore a face made with yellow on its front. Three more came out, though they were different colors, though they were similar in design. The first of the other three creatures was black as night, and it had yellow cat eyes in front with cat fangs, and the second of the three was white and had two black dots painted on its front to represent ghost eyes. The third creature was blue in color, and it wore a wizard hat. Charlie smiled with joy as the daleks were released, hoping this would make things more challenging.
“We have been released!” the creature in the wizard hat shouted as the other three began to turn and face their leader. Tinker took the chance to hide in the hole they created, escaping the line of sight of the creatures. Eccentric looked at Charlie, who was clapping with glee.
“I made them!” he shouted, before turning his mic back on. He was enthusiastic that his “machines” worked. Tinker remained silent, as he listened to what they said. The Blue dalek turned its eyestalk to the black dalek.
“Dalek C-H, you will go outside and make sure no one comes in. Exterminate anyone who is not a dalek” the blue dalek ordered.
“I obey,” Dalek C-H replied as it turned around to leave. The blue dalek turned to look at dalek painted to look like a jack-o-lantern.
“Dalek C-L, you will patrol the lower levels for any life forms. Exterminate them on sight,” it ordered. The Dalek replied that it would obey before it turned to leave the second level to head to the first floor, and the blue dalek looked to the third dalek that was like a ghost.
“Dalek Blinky, you will patrol the second level of the facility. Exterminate any lifeforms not a dalek,” it ordered, to which Blinky complied and left. The blue dalek made its dome do a one-eighty before facing forward again.
“I will look for the control room,” it said before leaving. Charlie was now terrified. He did not program them to talk. Only to shoot the contestants and suck them into their plungers to flatten them. He looked up at Eccentric and told him they were in trouble, so the chimera did what he thought was right. He took Charlie and headed for the mansion.
Nate had managed to avoid being run over by the giant ball, though he ended up in a room where there was a blue ponebird. It had black and white hair, and its tail feathers were black and white as well. It chirped as it hopped around the room. There was nothing related to halloween in the room, though the air felt eerie as if something bad was happening if he had not already happened. Nate watched the ponebird for a little bit and decided he should catch it, since there was nothing else for him to do inside the room. He took a step forward, and the bird looked at him, standing still to see what Nate was up to. It noticed how Nate’s Cargo pants showed off his legs. Ponebird chirped happily before hopping around again, not giving Nate a second thought as it went off into its own little world. Nate creeped up on it as he held his breath, reaching out for the strange bird who had no worries; however, once the bird was in Nate’s grasp, it began to cry loudly, its bird-like voice filling the room as tears came flying out of its eyes. Nate looked at the door and rushed over to it and turned the doorknob, though it would not open the door. The ponebird Nate held began to peck his hand until he let it go. The ponebird chirped angrily as it flew around the room before landing on its perch. Nate looked around the room, unable to figure out what he was supposed to do, but he didn’t have much time to think, for the door to the room came flying in, crashing against the wall. The ponebird panicked and flew to the ceiling, trying to get out while the blue dalek came in. It noticed Nate and pointed its gun at him. He pulled out his revolver and tried shooting it as the dalek moved closer, though the bullets seemed to have vanished.
“You will tell me where the control room is” it had said, the lights on its dome flashing as it spoke. Nate refused to help the dalek and ran out of the room, shooting more bullets at it, though the dalek remained unharmed. It just watched him flee, uncaring before it turned to look up at the bird who flew out after Nate. Nate and Tinker met up again, though Tinker had a scared look on his face.
“Wrong way!” the stallion said, running in the opposite direction as Nate. Nate understood why it was the wrong way when he saw a dalek’s eyestalk move from around the corner. Nate turned back and followed after Tinker before entering a room.

Nate saw a huge totem pole that had different monsters looking down at him. Each one smiled wickedly with sharp fangs and piercing eyes, and they spoke in unison.
“We will ask three riddles and you must answer each correctly,” they said, filling the room with eeriness.
“You have three chances to answer correctly, or you will lose.”
“What are the riddles?” he asked.
“The first riddle is ‘In the greenhouse, there is a red house. In the red house, there are babies. What am I?’ “ Nate thought about it before he answered.
“A watermelon,” he answered. The totem pole smiled.
“What do you get when you cross a helicopter, an elephant, and a rhino?”
“Hellephino.” was his answer. The totem smirked menacingly before it had asked its final riddle. It was a lot to take in, and Nate had to write everything down. After thinking it over, he answered, though his first answer was incorrect. He thought about it some more, and then he answered again. It was wrong too, and he only had one chance left at answering correctly. He thought about it a while longer before he answered it again. The totem looked down upon him as clampers rose from the ground and closed around Nate’s ankles. Before Nate knew it, the totem had the palm of its hand on top of him, and he slowly pressed down upon the grey furred jackyl. Nate let out a kind of groan as he was slowly pressed to the floor, his body coming out with each passing second until the hand met the floor. The clampers had let go once Nate was unable to un, and when the totem raised its hand, Nate was pancake like, though he was as then as a piece of paper. Nate had been eliminated, and the totem laughed at his predicament.

Tinker had entered a room and completed its challenge while he tried looking for a way out of the mansion. He was quiet as he moved through the hallways, trying to keep from being discovered by the menaces. He came to an intersection, and stopped to make sure no daleks would see him. He heard on talking and became terrified when he over heard it call for the one below the second floor. He was so close to the stairs to the first floor, but the daleks were there, and they had spotted him.
“EXTERMINATE!” he heard them shout. He heard their guns shoot at him, but he was lucky they had missed him as they fired. He thought they were’t so deadly as he dodged their fire, and he got out of their sight. He was happy to have gotten away, but then he looked back and saw them flying towards him. His eyes got big, and his pupils shrunk, but he quickly turned to run. He found a door he hadn’t seen, and he entered it. It was the totem, and he was prepared to ask him riddles; however, the daleks blasted the door open. Tinker ducked and saw that Nate was in the room. He quickly peeled the flat jackyl from the floor and ran out, not daring to try and fight the menaces. He went to turn to run to the stairs, but he saw the fourth dalek and he went running away, avoiding the dalek’s fire. He was running out of breath, and there was a long hallway in the dark. He thought it would be a good idea to hide in, so in he went, gasping for breath as he walked. The darkness felt cold, and there seemed to be no end to it. He heard voices behind him, and in the distance, the lights on the daleks’ domes lighting up as they spoke. He darted forward to get away from them, when he saw a glimmer of hope. There seemed to be a light at the end of the tunnel, and he dashed off even faster.
“Faster! Faster! We will cover you! Faster! Faster!” he heard one of them shout. As the light grew bigger, he was able to make out the prize. If he was going to die, he would die rich. The audience at home were scared for him. They saw Nate try and shoot one of the daleks, so they knew Tinker was done for if he didn’t get away. As the Stallion reached the end, he heard the daleks firing at him. It was as if time had slowed down, and he leapt into the air to try and win, thought, he got shot. The audience at home saw his fatal death, and they cried and screamed as they saw his body fall to the floor, even though he had reached the end and made contact with the prize.

The daleks had stopped moving as they stared at him, and the darkness went away as the lights from overhead turned on. Eccentric and Charlie had rushed to the scene and ran over to Tinker’s body before Eccentric scowled at Charlie. He felt Tinkers neck to see if he had a pulse, and to his relief, he did.
“He’s still alive!” he shouted as he looked up to the daleks. Everyone who was watching were relieved, but they wanted the daleks apprehended.
“He is alive because we did not intend to exterminate him,” the blue dalek said. It opened its chassis to reveal a young woman with light blue hair, and one of her eyes was dark blue while the other was purple. She stepped out of the casing and smiled a little nervously as she approached the unconscious Tinker. “He’ll be awake in an hour,” she said while Eccentric stood up.
“We’ll talk to you later,” he said before turning his mic on. He saw the camera and smiled nervously himself. “Our winner is Tinker! I was informed he is alright and will wake up in an hour! With that, have a good night everybody!” he said. Before he could turn around, he heard a noise, and where the young woman and the daleks stood, there was emptiness. All that remained were the carpet, floor, walls, and ceiling. Eccentric decided it would be best not to mention this ever again, but Charlie thought it was so cool and kept going on and on about it. Everyone of Tinker’s friends at home cheered for him after his victory when they heard he was going to be alright and that it was just a prank pulled on them by some teenager.
