Found within the lofty spires of the mountain ranges, the cloud hoppers are known for their curious method of travel. Due to the distance between mountain spires, the quick footed dragons are unable to reach them despite their leaping prowess. By filling their bellies up with water, they can pressurize and heat it into steam. As their body stretches and inflates with the hot steam, they slowly begin to lift off the ground. With a final kick they will launch themselves at the nearby cliff, trusting in their buoyant body to make the gap. Of course some dragons are known for over indulging in water, sometimes with drastic consequences if the dragon happens to be a bit overconfident....

Another dragon idea I had for the book, will have to add a bit more to these guys in the future.
