The dragon society encourages their members with fostering familial and societal bonds with other dragons. One of the many programs they have is a buddy program. Where adolescent dragons will teach younger dragons about what they have been learning and get time to play with and show the young dragon what they’ve learned.  

This is normally done with some supervision, but the young dragons are free to talk and play all they want till their time is up. Usually the adults pair together young dragons that have similar interests especially when the older dragon is newer to interacting with younger more delicate dragons.

Mai, after being told about some of Jubi's adoration of various creatures and hearing of the adventure she manages to find herself in, thinks about a very special way to foster the start to their bond. The first step would to obtain a magical companion known as a familiar.

She tells Jubi the first place to start would be the regenerative agriculture towers. This is where Mai introduces Jubi to some of the  farm beasts that are being kept.  Jubi looks around a s discovers the large shaggy bovine like beasts, known as a whoolly.  The beast towers over her and this is what Jubi wants, she wants a large whoolly to be her partner. Mai tells her why it’s too big for her and the spell would backfire if she’s not ready.

Jubi being a bit upset by this, is a bit in a sour mood but hopeful regardless. 

Taking Jubi further into the center, Mai locates the creatures she wanted Jubi to learn about Curly moths. A domestic species used to help pollinate the many fruit trees in the facility. The larvae are often used for feeding avians as well as the cocoons they create being used for silk in the dream weavers guild.
