Litchfield Towers

These together are one of the residence halls on Pitt campus, the Litchfield towers. There's B Tower, the one nearest on the left half, A tower, the one half-hidden behind it, and (yep, you guessed it), C Tower on the right. These towers were built circularly to ensure that each and every dorm room inside is the exact same size. See, in square buildings, rooms on the corners end up with more square footage. And yes, the rooms inside these towers -are- wedge-shaped. And cramped, in my opinion.

A and B house primarily freshmen and sophomores in two-person dorms, and C houses primarily upper classmen in single dorm rooms.
