These two don't meet until a good way into the story. Patch doesn't even know Blit exists for most of the first half, but when the two of them finally come face-to-face, his reputation has already been built up to be something he isn't. But how much of an exaggeration is it? How many of the System's problems really are his fault? The answer's going to take more time to figure out. It's a lot more complicated than black and white.
