Stunned silence. Blood poured out from the corpse of the former monarch’s throat, her expression still in shock as if, even in death, she couldn’t believe her demise would come so quickly. And having it in the form of her sister was another surprise. Not that Elle was surprised that her twin sister would try to kill her, just that she expected Titania’s lackeys would be the ones trying to do the dirty work.

Titana towered over her late sister with nothing but seething loathing, memories over the years of them struggling for power left no ounce of love. Instead every fiber of her being was still quaking, not with shock over the fact that she just slit her sister’s throat, but from leftover adrenaline and hatred. One simple slit to the throat wasn’t enough to express her anger, she wanted to make her suffer more. For years she dreamt of the day she could kill her sister Elle. And now that it came to fruition, Titania had to take a moment to control her pent up energy of over eighteen years.

From their birth, the twin sisters knew that they would one day have to kill the other for complete control over the hive. Two girls born from a queen was unheard of. Until Titania and her sister were born. The hive could feel the tension between the two, but never expected such a sudden coup d’etat.

Still fueled by her hatred, Titania whipped her head towards the terrified subjects who were still gawking at their fallen queen’s corpse. “Subjects,” Titania roared, still standing in her sister’s lukewarm blood, “your queen has fallen! There is no other heir to the throne except me! Come and kneel before me or face the same fate as this traitor!”

Doodle of how Titania came to power over the unstable hive. Got inspired by a species of ants that live so EXTREME. The ants I'm talking about send soldier ants to other homes, like a war. The soldier ants then kill the queen and bring her corpse to their queen. However, sometimes the "fallen" queen plays dead and once brought to the enemy queen, surprise attacks and kills the other queen, thus gaining control of both ant hills.
