Why post irrelevant comments?
Been here five minutes and it's already as hostile as dA, jeesh.-
Who's being hostile? I'm giving you a reaction to a drawing exercise you posted. The characters are very similar in appearance. You may want to alter them so that they contrast against each other more clearly.

No, I'm just saying, I didn't ask for any advice or opinion on it, you invited yourself to do so, and in doing so you were disrespectful.
It's uninvited criticisms like that, the fact people point out flaws all the time, that made me think a new art site was better.
It's not even real critique, it's a plain rude comment and an insult.
You're all still jerks here who just want to go point at what's wrong though, obviously.
Nothing is perfect, and it's about time people got their head around that fact and went and gave those kind of comments to the people who want it.
Not to the people who already know flaws and don't need others pointing them out. -
Plus you don't know the back story of my characters or anything about them, so who are you to say what they're supposed to look like?

How is that an insult? "They look pretty much the same" is about as passive an observation as you can get. I didn't say anything about how something is "supposed" to look, either. I am an audience member. I am allowed to comment on anything I come across. Also, why do you think everyone's to blame for what I said? Certainly my views don't represent the rest of the site. And "still" jerks? The site's only been up for a few months. At least give it some time to acquire jerkhood.

It's not the site, and I'm not saying it's just you. I'm sick of how sick and twisted the art community is becoming; that's all.
Pretty much like the rest of society.
Just as in physical beauty, girls feel they HAVE to change or wear make up or fit in with what's popular to be a decent person, similarly, every kind of mediocre or junior artist is looked down up by everyone just because they don't draw perfectly.
I don't know what happened to everybody being equal and such and such, but it's all going to shit.
I'm not saying you're sick and twisted either, but you're picking out things wrong with my art out of the blue; it is offensive.
Would it kill a person to be nice about something that's not perfect for once?

Kid, you need to learn how to communicate with people like an adult when you put your drawings up in a public place. Nobody's forcing you to show us your drawing exercises, so don't force them to never say anything critical about them. The point of this exercise was to see if you could draw two characters with similarities as differently as possible. They look very similar. I am letting you know that I notice this. If you keep drawing the same kinds of characters and styles now, while you're young, you'll spin your wheels and fail to develop your skills. It really doesn't matter how emotionally-invested you are in these characters; if you're not experimenting, you're not learning.

This isn't my career, it was for fun, and I don't care if I'm utter shite at art, I know I am, and I don't need someone like you to tell me so.
I don't plan to do anything with these characters, I did the meme for FUN.
But I guess there's nothing left of that stuff left in the art community either.-
We're not talking about me here, and I refuse to call people anything but "kid" when they refuse to act like adults. You posted art to the public. If you want to continue drawing fantasies that help you escape whatever crushing misery your own life has become, go right ahead. But if you're going to show them to people who don't feel obligated to praise you, take the advice they give you with maturity and grace.

I didn't post them for people to see them, or praise, or even for advice. I post them for myself, I'm only here to talk to people.
I'm a shite little artist that isn't going to do anything with my drawings in future, I don't need advice if I don't plan to do anything with them.
I don't need to justify why I don't want your opinion; why should I?
You're a total stranger putting your nose where it's not wanted!
Give advice to the people who want it instead of sitting on your high horse looking down your nose to people like me.

I think we're done here. If you can't handle someone talking about something you made without gushing empty praise about how precious and wonderful you apparently think you are, I'm only prepared to waste so much of my time convincing you otherwise.

You know I lav your characters, right? I don't think they look the same. They have similarities, but there is a lot more in differences with the little details. Plus, these are just sketches, right? It's not even showing their colored designs.
