First Artwork of 2021, he's my take on the Greek God Phanes as how he'd be in a fictional world I'd like to create.

BIO

Phanes is a primordial Greek God of daylight and life in Orphic tradition, and the firstborn of Chronos.

As a "child", he was sent down to the mortal realms as a demi-mortal for what his father called an "extracurricular excursion", watching over the life he imparted develop, but never growing any meaningful attachment to any of them.

Phanes never begrudged Chronos for what he did, but always felt bewildered over something he saw fleeting or useless.

At some point, in a unknown place, Phanes met the similarly "young" Nodens, whose own foster family had the same idea.

However beneath Noden's air of sarcastic apathy, for better or worse the Celtic God's curiosity made him more open to the idea than Phanes, and wanted someone else he could share this feeling with.

After being invited into riding the waves and fishing with the mortal locals and (forcibly) dragging Phanes along with him, Nodens managed to convey the sense of wonder he had to him.

The two would go adventuring together, help fight in a (usually petty) war or two, and eventually became a couple. Though with how much of a wet sock Nodens usually is, Phanes sometimes wonders how he ever fell for a "βαρετό άτομο" like him

Nodens just tell him to "bugger off with your shite, you fucking weeb."
