After playing through the Burma missions in Splinter Cell, I felt compelled to draw something based off of the streets of the city of Yangon, similar to those seen in that game. I went through a lot of photos of Yangon streets, both past and present and then looked up cars to try to draw and since I had the idea to set this scene in the early-to-mid 1980s, it would all be vehicles from the 60s and 70s. Starting off with a 1964 Toyota Corona that took me far too long to get right, followed up by an AMC Javelin I couldn't quite scale right and then finally added a Honda pickup truck before moving onto the right side: starting off with a Porsche Beetle (nicknamed the Volkswagen for the Austro-Czech company's successful attempt to appeal to mass consumers buying their car) and then a Datsun Sunny and a DAF 66 in front of it. The rest of the drawing was difficult because of the now awkward angle the street would be at with no idea how to fix it without erasing the vehicles so I just left the buildings as they were because I had already spent time on this drawing and I just wanted to finish it.
