Tree Branch
Balto_Husky 2014
A small body of water
Sways this way and that.
In autumn no leaf bothers
with that odd hand-shaped bat.
Sticking up in the lake,
Like a sword in a stone.
It looks surreal like it's fake,
Yet surrealism naught envolpes in domes.
A branch with no foliage;
What doth makes you stand so?
Surrounded by ripples a-minaj;
Life's mystery shrouded by woe.
Pecularity is your name,
Many strangers take note.
But who are they to blame,
As you neither sink or float?
You are an exqusite artform,
Pieced together by The Fates,
Defying the standards of the norm,
For all to see and rate.
You are a special tree branch.
You will forever envelope my memory.
A poem about a tree that was stuck inside a lake, reaching to the heavens. It took me by surprise and I was intrigued by it.
