Balina extends an invitation to the land of milk and honey

Balina

[All records pertaining to the address of this reality are to be kept out of the hands of the public. We're pretty sure she saw the last two probes, and the last thing we need is her discovering how to get out. --BGM]

I forget how exactly this started, but I firmly blame both Crystala and SkylarGrey for encouraging me until it finally came together. The original Balina was not always a moof, and while she started her career as a goo-cow she just as easily could have been a bee. This started as a what-if, and spiraled out of control from there.

This Balina was far better at playing the long game, and went into her contract with Fenris with a plan in mind. Rather than begging his help in tracking down a wayward spirit, she made a deal: he would lend the assistance of his pack, and she would provide him with all the meals he could ever hope to eat.

What she was really after, however, was the way Fenris' packs worked as a group. His supernatural pack mentality went with Balina's queen bee hive mentality like peanut butter and honey, creating something far more dangerous. A simple whiff of her essence carried on an icy wind became enough to cloud the mind and cause victims to willingly volunteer for conversion into drones of the hive. Those that impressed their queen were then fed to Fenris, further strengthening the pack and their pact.

This process continued for years. The two would conquer a city, a state, a nation, induct the populace, and the best would be reborn through Fenris' gullet. It was not until their empire spanned the continent that Balina turned to the wolf god and gave the Commands. Sit. Roll over. Shake. The wolf god, to his surprise and horror, found himself seated, then rolling, and finally presenting his paw. Sympathy flows both ways, and the essence of millions of drones had taken their toll. As below, so above.

These days, outside of conquest, Balina's favorite pastime is finding new ways to humiliate and demean Fenris. Currently, that means ugly sweaters, adowable baby tawk, and pampering him like the widdle snookums he weally is. If the picture was just a little bit wider, you'd see that next to the icy chaise throne is a bright pink dog house with "FENWIS" written on it in glitter.
