Light, shadow, harmony and the interplay between order and entropy in nature can be found in surprising places. In this case, I found this scene not at a beach, or in a zen rock garden, but in an out of the way sort of gravel pit near campus. Nothing was arranged, this was captured-- and appreciated-- just as it was found, including the afternoon Sun hitting the rocks just so, and the one rock being just in the center. How did get there? The wind? The rain? Someone kicking rocks around? We;ll never know, but I think that's part of the accidental beauty.
