Honestly, Phantom Menace was my favorite movie of all (so far) because of how many amazing things it added to Star Wars. Sure, the original trilogy is overall better, but Phantom Menace basically DOUBLED everything Star Wars single handedly. It went from a war documentary (an amazing one, mind you) to a fully living, breathing galaxy full of life and everything in it.

I agree. Though I still would have to say Revenge of the Sith is my favourite, followed closely be Return of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back. The Force Awakens is HIGHLY overrated, especially considering Kylo Ren represents everything fans complained about Hayden Christensen's Anakin to the EXTREME. At least when Anakin got pissed, he freaking killed people. Kylo just screams and slashes-up control-panels with his lightsaber while his underlings watch in awkward silence. XD

I haven't heard of this overrated speak. I hear people usually say "Meh it's just a retelling of the original movie" which really is true. I actually think Kylo Ren was done VERY well though. He's still very young and unsure about himself, and a part of him is drawn to the light so he doesn't necessarily WANT to kill people. It was all Snoke twisting his mind into the form it is now. Plus you have to keep in mind, it seems him and General Hux were about the same 'rank' in the First Order, so he can't exactly go killing anyone he wants all willy nilly without suffering consequences from Snoke. Kylo isn't a Sith Lord, he's very much still a Sith Apprentice.

Well, again this is just a matter of opinion I suppose, but wasn't one of the main themes of the ENTIRE Star Wars saga before this point about how TEMPTING the Dark side is, and how hard it is to come back from it once you start embracing it, almost like a drug? The TV Tropes page for "The Dark Side" is the very DEFINITION of this temptation towards an evil power, with another major example being The One Ring from Lord of the Rings. XD

Well just think of it this way; There's plenty of drug addicts who hate the fact they do drugs, and wish they had the power to stop and be normal again. Seeing the Dark Side as an addiction, some people don't want to be addicted even though they are. It just varies person-to-person, really.

Except Kylo Ren was experiencing the OPPOSITE! After his chat with the big Snoke hologram, he went to his little shrine where he kept Darth Vader's half-melted helmet and and started PRAYING to the Dark Side to help give him the power to resist the PULL of the LIGHT SIDE, as if IT was now the addictive power!

At the end of the day, it's just a movie.
Kylo subconsciously wants to be good and do good things, but I guess (as I saw it) in a sort-of act of rebellion against his father he turned to the dark side just to show him how 'powerful and great' he had become, but Snoke had, at that point anyways, poisoned his mind. I'm sure we'll learn more about how Kylo got to that point with the inevitable movie based on the Knights of Ren.
