Season of Penance Day 21

So today I was going out for a walk through a city made pathway and was walking through a wooded area after some recent rain. When I was looking at the bare trees and the almost swampy area it reminded me of the time I went with my father to a cypress swamp and saw all the trees submerged in the water. Wanted to see if I could capture that in the 'brunaille' technique. It's kind of like the 'grisaille' technique I've used except brown instead of grey. Overall I'd call this a mixed success to just not very successful at all. The water looks way too muddy in a bad way among other things. Someone happy with the reflection though, first time I tried something like that but overall could have been done much better. Oh well, live and learn.
