With civil war on Earth seeming inevitable, my father, Ambassador Claris DeRussate of Caldarvier requested that I leave the only home I have known and head for somewhere safer. At least until the situation becomes more stable, and if not at least in advance of the evacuation of the rest of the embassy staff should Caldarvier decide to withdraw it's mission to Earth. The multicultural experimental colony of Llydesvier is the preferred destination, but parting is sweet sorrow and I could not resist looking back at the shrinking world that I had called home for 20 years slowly shrinking.
