Yet another panel from the same Rhodes and Dempsey comic I've been working on for about a year. Rhodes is the redhead, Dempsey is the blond guy. Dempsey wants to go spy on a very strange man who goes to The Grocery Store at the same time every week and he's dragging Rhodes along. You can just smell the trouble brewing from a mile off.

I'd been DYING to make a good drawing of The Grocery Store for zillions of years! It had been in my head for quite a long time. I've always imagined it being a shining example of spage-age Googie architecture. I had a lot of fun designing that sign, not to mention the entire rest of the building.

I colored this entire panel in one sitting from 11PM to 5AM one night. I didn't even get up to pee. I think I listened to "Electric Dimension" by Kraftwelt on infinite loop for like 5 hours. It's a good album to listen to when you're making bizarre, alien landscapes.

Marker, white gel pen, and India ink. Everything was done completely by hand, including the lettering. I think I did this in either late 2015 or early 2016.
