“I told you to stay away from the depths you fool!” Seline snapped harshly at the pink ryno as the two swam their way towards one of the islands that floated above Paaschmaha. Nexus was their name, at least she was pretty sure. She wasn't too fond of the other. Something about their scent was off…almost as if they were ill, and yet they seemed perfectly healthy.

“Whoa whoa! What are you two yelling about now?” A strange voice called out, friendly in tone, making Seline look up ans squint at the sight of one of the strangers. A garoch, pale yellow and toweringly tall.

“Seline here is being harsh over the fact I decided to go diving deeper towards the trenches. She got especially angry because I almost got myself and a fellow cartography explorer eaten by some kind of massive eel.” Nexus grumbled out a response, shaking themselves dry and glaring at Seline as their fellow ryno gracefully stepped onto land.

“Ah. Sounds like you met a vipertooth leviathan. Those fellas are…intense. I'd avoid them 'specially since y'all are new to these waters. I'm Varsha by the way!” The garoch responded with a grin. 

“Nexus, that's Seline.” Was all Nexus bothered to respond with, instead of small talk they took their journal out and recorded details of the day. 

Seline hummed a thoughtful sound and moved closer to Varsha. “Don't let Nexus put you off. Their just mad about me being right about the depths.” She smirked, causing Varsha to chuckle. 

“Yeah these waters are no joke. At least now ya know!” The yellow garoch responded.

Seline could only nod, now they knew indeed. She could only wonder what other dangers lurked here, and she dreaded finding out. At least for now she could take the time to relax, and possibly get to know this friendly new stranger here on this little island…
