I have a lot of stuff in a wip folder and this was one of them that I wanted to finish because it started out as a pretty doodle and it got better and better and had to finish it. So tada! Kee, I keep borrowing your characters. I'm sorry but I love all your bebes.

The rain had come too soon for the trip back to the manor. However Asha had picked a worthy spot to settle with her companion. She sat and half curled around Shirin then stretched one wing over her friend to prevent the heavy droplets from drenching her. The storm above and around them in their forest shelter wasn’t heavy, but enough came through to drench Asha’s scales. She’ll wait it out.
“You’re getting soaked.”
“I’ll be fine. I like the rain and it just means I don’t need to bathe later.” She grinned or the best she could grin without revealing her fangs. She was rewarded with a chortle and the two settled in silence, enjoying their time and the storm’s orchestra of rolling booms, strikes of lightning and steady wash of rain on pearl scales.
