Hooooboy, the explanation for this piece is gonna be long.

So, over on The Realm of Kaerwyn RP, a few years ago there was a plot focusing around the end of the world.  In the future, an aetheric anomaly, dubbed "the Timescar", came to the world, and eventually over time, consumed all in its path.  In the end, only a handful of survivors remained in a blasted wasteland, and from there, they went back in time through a confluence of events to try and stop the apocalypse.

When they arrived shortly after the Timescar, it became critical for them to curry favor and influence amongst the townsfolk of the present, in order to avoid the bad future.  After some time, it was determined the Timescar had buried itself in a mountain, and a massive excavation project was begun to literally dig out the mountain to expose it.

During the later phases of the excavation, nearby, a chaos rift formed, sucking in all material nearby.  The people nearby were running for safety, when Endymion Gaelin was hit in the face by a bucket and stunned, falling towards the chaos rift and an unknown fate.

And in the split second that he had to decide, Thenyr, who has somewhat of a questionable rep on Kaerwyn for being overly deliberative and cautious, threw caution to the wind and dove to grab Endymion.  So I figured since this was a crowning moment of character development for him, it finally deserved a picture.  They both managed to survive, and get out of trouble, but there was no guarantee they would, which was why it was such a growth moment for Thenyr.
