I've inherited a pair of bird-socks via hand-me-down from a friend who is no longer a bird(traitor!). I wear them at conventions for funsies, and almost nowhere else, to preserve thier lifespan. So It was actually quite a shock this year at anthrocon when I started transforming while wearing them, because I didn't want to wreck them...fortunately, it seems the socks and I were in agreement on that particular point of order. Nice and comfy, now! :>
