Richard is a shifter, a rare being on his world. Few groups know of shifters, but they want to study them, so Richard ended up attracting unwanted attention that forced him to flee from all he ever knew in order to stay alive and free. The pursuit didn't end there, though, as his poster on the alley wall indicates.

This wasn't all fun and games; sometimes it got really nasty for him, as pictured here. The only things on his mind right now are probably where will be a safe place to spend the night of the full moon, and where he can get some food to keep going. :(

Fortunately, things took a turn for the better later on!

The shadow in the upper left corner is an artifact from the scanning. I considered rescanning it, but I decided against it, as the shadow adds to the overall atmosphere of the piece.
