The Pink Panzer Pony Pursuit Platoon is one of the swift intervention forces of Lemmingland.

When Lemmingland ( often shortened to Lemmland ) was attacked on the 5th of March in the year of the Cucumber by the forces of Hareland, the lemmings were truly happy. Finally there was a way to die other than waiting for days without end to jump down the great cliff that overshadows the town of Lemminggrad, the capital of Lemmland.

The Bunnies of Hareland had decided that the Lemmings must be stopped from suiciding as a way of life.
To the Lemmings frustration the bunnies used nonlethal weapons.
Facing dire defeat i nthe field and the loss of the "Lemming Way of Life", the Council for the Creation of occupational and residental Hazards, the government of the lemming nation, did seek for mercenaries to stop the bunnies advance on Lemmland's capital.

Soon those Ponies exiled from Equestria for murder, arson and more non-friendship-advancing activities volunteered in droves. From old human museums various weapons were obtained. One functional prototype of a nuclearbomb was successfully tested on the lemming town of Lemmberg after the population cheerfully volunteered themselves as a target. Unfortunately for the Lemming war effort, all scientists managed to to a picnic right on ground zero when the bomb detonated, leaving Lemmland without the specialists to build more of those bombs to drive out the bunny forces.

As a secondary solution, Battletanks found in the museums were copied and put into massproduction in the lemming factories.
The large number of accidents building those heavy machines, like the many accidents in the ammunitions factories, ensure a high motivation of the lemming workers.

The PPPPP is a mercenary unit formed mostly out of Ponies , bolstered with Lemming volunteers. The selection of Lemming volunteers is a astonishingly swift process:
A Lemming is give na stinking green liquid in a glass, told not to drink it becuase it beign poisenous, and then locked up in the waitingroom for one hour.
When after one hour he didn't drink the glass ,he is considered stable enough to follow orders long enough before suiciding as to make a meaningful contribution to the war effort.

The PPPPP is located on the grounds of the former Bumm-Peng factory, where TNT-Powered Pogosticks were manufactured until one day several TNT deliveries arrived at the same time, and thus the accumulated explosive force exceeded the stability of the storage bunker and blew the entire factory to high heaven.
Still today, 10 years later, the lemmings around the factory grounds hold yearly celebrations hoping for a repetition of the accident.
