Ebonheart will sometimes transform into Peppermint's father when they have to be out in public together. When her parents, Wintergreen and Sugar Twist, died during the Changeling raid. Ebonheart would transform into Wintergreen to help comfort Peppermint.

Peppermint recognizes him as her father but she was so young when Ebonheart rescued her that she doesn't find it strange that her Daddy changes shape. It is kept as a fun little secret between them both. She sees it as a game and doesn't tell anyone. Not knowing the panic it would cause if others knew there was a Changeling brute among them.
