I got bored today so after wasting a good 5 pages of my sketch paper with pointless sketches I got the idea of this dude.

Now, originally his mane was supposed to be a dark brown.golden brown like an actual lions mane but I didnt have the colours for that because then his mane and body would be like the same colour and just not look nice and blend together and just be ugly all together and ugh, ew, no. Just, no.

So I went with a rustic one! Then I realized he looked like an old Mufasa from the Lion King so I added in some darker streaks with a dark brown but that still wasnt doing it so I used my art pens and just streaked it with the direction the mane wouldve went but then it looked...awkward and off and just terrible so I used hand sanitizer and went over the mane with it to blend it all together ^^

Lol this was just supposed to be a sketch and then it turned into a shaded sketch, and then a flat image and when I couldnt get the pencil shading off a shaded pic soooooooo yeeeeeahhhh, hes been through a lot.

All in all, Im pretty happy with him. Maybe Ill make his queen tomorrow?

Lol maybe Ill do a series of these guys, a Queen, princess, prince, and whoever else might be in a royal family--no squires or knights.

Any help with more people (animals? Lol idk) that would belong to a King's royal family just list em down below along with their relation to the King/Quenn/Prince/ss
