And my tradition of a holiday pic every year managed to continue this year too though lol only barely but I made it~ XD
A bit less winter-y/holiday-y than normally but shh I wanted something cute for us this year ❤

_{you guys had better not totally ignore this like the last couple times I've actually made some personal art for myself that I really loved or we are gonna have some problems XD}

Wow who knew the pressure of getting this done in time was such good motivation X"D I had only most of the lineart done by last night _{sobs which was dragged out over like a week doing just that?!} but somehow I finished the lines, got the base colours down, shaded it all, and messed around with the BG for a good hour or two before I was happy and managed to get it all done and uploaded :"D

All joking aside I am really happy with how the BG came out though. I literally went through every single font on my computer _{[haha and even finally unzipped a few new fonts I downloaded but never installed]} and then had like 10+ fonts I was narrowing my choice between before I finally settled on this one! Then I was like oh no the BG looks so plain with just the text and a pink rectangle so I was trying to put a pattern on top too... but the font really doesn't play well with any patterns since it makes it insanely hard to read because it's such a thin font _{[bold fused the dots together and it was gross so that was a no go]} Spent way too long trying to make a pattern work and even creating new patterns to find something to use but nope XD Then I had this lightbulb moment and remembered the dual brush option and I was like OMG OF COURSE DUAL BRUSH WITH THE PATTERN TO MAKE SOME ACCENTS WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT EARLIER X"D
I think I'm in love with this new brush I made now I just wanna do lots of stuff with it asjfkalfjajfafa it's so cute looking aaaaaaaa

Wow though like I feel like I'm just being annoying but I really LOVE THIS OK?? The pose and expression was basically spot on with what I was imagining and the shading/lighting turned out maybe even better than I thought it would ;v; I don't do many pics with multiple charas since proportions and interaction and stuff was always a bit of a hard thing for me so like I'm really happy I seemed to have finally overcome that~ Angelos ended up mostly sorta hidden behind her big snuggly dragon oops.. oh well~ It does sorta show off Andrew's wings a bit better since they're like big wings and not those rectangular looking chibi ones on his ref which was nice :3
Tried out using 2 light sources which was really fun too which I've wanted to do for quite a while :"D Ahaha I didn't use the really boring/overused cyan blue as the secondary lighting I feel very proud of that; I used a red/pink instead

Colours colours colours I've been really focused on those recently and while this one's less extreme compared to some of the previous pics I've been doing I'm happy with these ones too c: Shifted both Angelos' and Andrew's colours to a more pinkish/purple-ish tint compared to their ref colours to not stick out from the BG as much and I find it looks really soft and dreamy ❤
